In recent years, the governments social policy has been directed at developing of sports and encouraging a healthy lifstylee. Therefore, every year more and more new sporting complexes, sports infrastructure facilities: indoor skating rings, tennis courts, swimming pools, fitness clubs and other sporting facilities are built.
Therefore, construction standards and requirements to the used materials and structures are also becoming stricter, in order to make sporting facilities even safer and more modern.
Taking into account modern trends, the manufacturer of PLASTFOIL® polymer membrane, together with specialists from FSU VNIIPO RF Ministry of Emergency Situations developed the complex heat insulation system for roofing “PROOF” installed over profiled steel sheet.
The “PROOF” system solves the tasks of heat insulation of sporting facilities roofing with maximum efficiency:
- The cost of the “PROOF” system due to high heat shielding properties of PENOPLEX® plates, is significantly lower than the cost of traditional structures;
- Testing results showed that the “PROOF” system is fireproof (fire hazard class К0), which does not contradict the requirements for fire resistance of such facilities;
- Due to the combined use of PENOPLEX®, heat insulation, whose weight is significantly lower than the weight of roofing wadding, the operating properties of the roofing are significantly improved.
Therefore, with unchanged requirements in the bearing capacities of main structural components of facilities (foundation, metal supports, girders, profiled sheeting, etc.) the use of the combined heat insulation system “PROOF” makes it possible to reduce the weight of “roofing pie” more than by 2 fold, and therefore the snowload can be significantly increased for each square metre.
